Keeping the sanity
Ok, So your local gym has locked you out. And your personal trainer decided to regroup. What's a person or cat to do?
It's time to get creative. Look around your house, garage or yard. Do you have forgotten Dumbbells, bands, or old video tapes laying around? Dust them off and place them somewhere in your vision. Better yet, by the front door, so you're constantly stepping over them.
Count that "step over" as a lunge.
Call a friend that has similiar cardio interests. Do they like to walk or run? A friend or coworker can keep you accountable. This is a great time to get outdoors...not too hot or too cold. You might want to check those bicycle tires and take it out for a spell.
Keep in communication with your friends, family and neighbors. Do you know someone that lives alone and may need help in the home or yard? There are a lot of calories to be burned cleaning the house or garage.
It's easy to get caught in the drama and gloom. Negative emotions stay with us longer than positivity. Break the negativity by enjoying nature. Get outside and look around at the beauty around you. We live here for that reason.
We still have freedom of choice. Choose health and wellbeing over being a fat cat sitting on the couch eating potato chips.
This too, shall pass.
